FAQ2024-01-26T22:16:20+00:00
What should I prepare for my first session?2022-10-30T14:03:44+00:00

Nothing, is the simple answer. All you need to bring is yourself and a little feedback on what you would like to change to your first session.  Watching the film Emotional Healing before your first session is helpful for you to learn a bit more about how we will be working together. This is available to view for free on the ASTA website – https://www.psh.org.au/

How many sessions of P.S.H. will I need?2022-10-27T17:06:37+00:00

Everyone is different and responds in their own individual way, some people make change more quickly than others. For most, the process of subconscious emotional healing is an ongoing process that continues for a time even after the formal therapy is completed.

The formal part of the therapy typically requires between 1 and 3 sessions with the therapist.

Can children benefit from P.S.H. approach?2022-10-30T13:59:31+00:00

Yes, although I don’t currently offer sessions for children, a number of other P.S.H. therapists do. Please get in touch if you would like a referral to a P.S.H. therapist who works with children. A list of therapists is also available of the Australasian Subconscious-mind Therapists’ Association (ASTA) website  – www.psh.org.au/find-a-therapist.

What’s involved in a P.S.H. session?2024-03-18T11:20:32+00:00

In the initial session the therapist will assess whether the presenting issues might arise from subconscious dynamics, and if so, P.S.H. is suitable. The client is then asked to sit quietly and is given the space to rest, while the therapist supports and guides them to access their own inner resources to make the changes they want to make. The client completes their own healing while the therapist holds the space and provides support.

This approach is completely private – neither the client or therapist go into detail about what the client wants to change. Most people find it comforting to know that when we work at the subconscious level there’s no need to talk or analyse past feelings or problems in order to resolve them. In fact, it’s better not to.

The P.S.H. approach supports people to complete emotional healing for themselves at their own pace. Many people make lasting changes for themselves in 1-3 sessions.
